district 4-l4 leos clubs
The Leo Clubs of Lion District 4-L4 have been actively involved with the Orphanages of Thailand since 2003, and endorsed the Charity as an official project in 2006. Since then the Leos (young service minded individuals who are members of a Junior High or High School Club or a Community Club) have become one of the largest contributors of funds to the Orphanages of Thailand charity.
Past District 4-L4 Leo President Mabel Tsui (2010-2011) said the following:
"I would like to bring your attention to a charity that the Leos are very much involved with—the “Orphanages of Thailand.” The “Orphanages of Thailand” is a collaboration of centers located throughout Thailand, all of which hold the objective of improving the lives of hundreds of thousands of Thai children. These efforts include the Pattaya Orphanage, the Redemptorist School for the Disabled, the School for Deaf Children, the School for Blind Children, the Home for Street Kids, and the Children’s Shelter of Wat Bot. With such extensive branches, the “Orphanages of Thailand” has held true to its mission, providing food, shelter, safety, education, homes, and lives to those less fortunate in Thailand."
The Leos of District 4-L4 discovered this meaningful organization and stepped in immediately. Today, the district proudly remains involved with this charity, carrying on the tradition of hosting our annual “Orphanages of Thailand” Fundraiser.
